Virtual Student Research Colloquium Held

两性色午夜 University at Tuscarawas student research projects were showcased during the Virtual Student Research Colloquium on April 5.

During the fall semester, 两性色午夜 Tuscarawas students were given the opportunity to submit a research proposal to the Student Affairs Committee which reviews and funds the proposals. Once selected, students work with a faculty mentor on rigorous and meaningful undergraduate research.

This year鈥檚 colloquium showcased the research of eight students with three projects. The faculty mentors who partnered with the students include engineering technology faculty Dr. Dhruba Panthi, Tim Fritz and Turan Koptur, and sociology faculty Dr. Adrian Jones

The 2020-2021 Student Research Colloquium Projects are:

Title:  鈥淢ini Printer for Nail Arts鈥
Presenter: Annie Quan (Engineering Technology)
Mentor: Dr. Dhruba Panthi

Title: 鈥淎n Exploration of Sociological Factors Predicting Rape and Child Molestation鈥
Presenter: Brett Swigert (Sociology)
Mentor: Dr. Adrian Jones

Title:  鈥淒esert Rune鈥 
Presenter: Joseph A. Gage, Heather Wagner, Johnny Lam, Michael Drago, Marissa Gyorki and Megan Gyorki (Animation Game Design)
Mentors: Tim Fritz and Turan Koptur

The purposes of the Student Research Colloquium are to introduce students to the skills and methodologies of theoretical, applied, and/or basic research, to provide students with the opportunity to expand their academic involvement and experience beyond the classroom, and to strengthen collaboration among faculty and students by providing resources for research projects of mutual interest.
