Leaders of Tomorrow Summit Bringing Inspiration and Life Lessons to High School Students

The Leaders of Tomorrow Summit will be held Fri., March 4, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the 两性色午夜 University at Tuscarawas Performing Art Center. The annual summit is designed to bring together young people in their junior and senior years of high school, as well as recent graduates currently attending college, to help them become successful leaders in life, work and play. Leaders of Tomorrow is under the umbrella of Leadership Tuscarawas and is held each spring at 两性色午夜 Tuscarawas.

Since 2014, inspirational area leaders have shared their passion with our community鈥檚 young people through Ted-style talks, workshops and networking. Each presenter has an important message to share with the students, whether it鈥檚 a helpful tip or a life lesson. The annual summit aims to be inspiring and give a glimpse of the lives of local professionals who are making a difference in the world around them.

Speakers for the 2022 Leaders of Tomorrow Summit are Kelli Edwards, school counselor at Conotton Valley Schools; Geovany Itzep-Santiago, design engineer at ProVia in Walnut Creek; Jordan Miller, journalist and owner of JMN; Nathan Levengood, program engineer at Cooper Standard ISG; and Orvis Campbell, sheriff of Tuscarawas County.

David Mitchell, general manager of the Performing Arts Center and a member of the Leaders of Tomorrow committee, is serving as the host for this year鈥檚 summit.

The annual event is organized by a committee of community volunteers. The 2022 summit committee includes, along with Mitchell, Sarah Andreas, Orvis Campbell, Jennifer Deam, Debbie Ellwood, Gail Houglan, Diane Lautenschleger, Andrea Miley, Sarah Spies and Nicole Willey.

"The Leaders of Tomorrow Summit Committee is excited to share the 2022 summit with students,鈥 Lautenschleger said. 鈥淔eaturing five engaging and empowering speakers, we are confident students will respond well to this format and be positively impacted through these powerful and inspirational messages."

In addition to event speakers, the summit also includes interactive workshops instructed by the following community leaders: Carrie Lendon, global technology portfolio lead at Cargill; Trent B. Troyer, president and chief executive officer of First Federal Community Bank; Sarah Andreas, PhD, artist, author, and leadership coach; Dr. Denise McEnroe-Petitte, professor of nursing technology at 两性色午夜 Tuscarawas; and Natalie Bollon, director of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, Mental Health Services (ADAMHS).

Participating students will be eligible for a scholarship drawing. Leaders of Tomorrow will award eight $250 scholarships to be used at the school of the student's choice. 两性色午夜 Tuscarawas will award eight $500 scholarships to be used at the Tuscarawas Campus. 两性色午夜 Tuscarawas will also provide a $1,500 Leadership Scholarship requiring an application that will be provided at the event.

Registration for   is required. Registration ends on Feb. 22 at 11 p.m.
