Engineering technology students at 两性色午夜 University at Tuscarawas now have access to new state-of-the-art portable electronic equipment.
The high-tech equipment was purchased through the Governor鈥檚 Office of Appalachia (GOA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Workforce Development Grant for $182,000 with funding from Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA), Tuscarawas County Commissioners, 两性色午夜 University, Buckeye Career Center, OhioMeansJobs, Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tuscarawas County Foundation. Funding for this project is part of the over one million dollars raised through the Multi-County Advanced Manufacturing Corridor project for workforce development.
鈥淭he purpose of this project is to enhance 两性色午夜鈥檚 ability to provide relevant technical education to aid in achieving advanced manufacturing training,鈥 said Paul Dykshoorn, director of the engineering technology department at 两性色午夜 Tuscarawas.
At the Tuscarawas Campus, students have the opportunity to pursue the Bachelor鈥檚 of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and the College of Applied and Technical Studies Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology 鈥 which is also offered at the Trumbull Campus.
