As National Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, Alex Silverio and Tatiana Fernández Pérez shared pieces of their cultures at this month’s installment of Cultural Café, presented by International Student and Scholar Services at the Office of Global Education.

Her first education abroad experience gave graduate student Lilian Keister an up-close view of a culture rooted in kindness and forgiveness.

����ɫ��ҹ University leadership and donors known as the Renaissance Scholars Society will gather to commemorate 50 years of education abroad in Florence, Italy, during the first week of October.

A group of 22 secondary school teachers from 20 different countries is spending six weeks at ����ɫ��ҹ University as part of a Fulbright program of professional development for foreign educators. 

Sketching, drawing, doodling. For some, these activities occupy us in class or in a meeting. But for Kizito Nkundamahoro, his artistic hobby evolved into a passion that drew an amazing opportunity at ����ɫ��ҹ University.

All this week, the ����ɫ��ҹ University Kent Campus has offered a full slate of events in its 2023 Education Abroad Showcase, which serves as an introduction to the university’s education-abroad opportunities across the globe. Hosted by ����ɫ��ҹ’s Office of Global Education, the theme for this week’s events is “Discover Boundless Horizons: Explore, Learn and Thrive Globally!” 

When she signed up for the Kigali Summer Institute in Rwanda, ����ɫ��ҹ University senior Emily Spencer, thought it would be a good training ground for humanitarian work she hopes to perform in the future. When she returned from the three-week course, she felt significantly changed. 

Large numbers of international graduate students are boosting enrollment of both international students and graduate students.

Education Abroad Showcase begins Monday, Sept. 18, with events each day through Friday, Sept. 22.
