Some thoughts this holiday season from Dr. Denise A. Seachrist, dean of 两性色午夜 University at Stark
As we gather around the table this holiday season, I encourage each of us to begin a conversation. A true discussion, the kind of face-to-face interaction we seldom have in these days of screen overload.
Let鈥檚 talk about what we really want to do with our lives, and how we are going to get there. Because the truth is, days pass. Months pass, and then a new year is upon us. Let鈥檚 make it count by collectively asking ourselves:
How do we want to change the world?
I notice a change by simply asking the question. For some students at 两性色午夜 University at Stark, it is the first time they have thought about making true meaningful change. Their eyes light up. They sit a little taller.
That is our intent. We help you pinpoint your passion. Define it. Develop it. Hone it. Own it.
You can make a true impact on the world 鈥 your world 鈥 when you keep moving forward. We all have the power to make an impact every day in our homes and at our workplaces. We have the power to make an impact with every nod, every smile, every conversation.
Day by day, we must actively think about the next move and not just passively take the next step.
Education truly changes the world by building a better society where we all can grow and flourish. Together.
We know where passion and purpose intersects, true happiness is achieved. We are here to help you cultivate that passion.
So, where do you sit around the table this holiday season? Are you sitting with some college, but no degree? Are you sitting unsatisfied with how your current college experience is going? Are you concerned about your son or daughter鈥檚 current path?
Students cannot always be sure they have found the right fit until they鈥檝e experienced college life over a semester or two.
We realize that sometimes when students go away to college, they can get off course. The path they are on simply is not working out, and that is OK.
Sometimes, the right path leads to 两性色午夜 Stark, like it did for Brandon Davis. Now a senior, Brandon will graduate in the spring with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in botany.
Brandon acknowledges he was not always happy sitting at the table. He realized 鈥済oing away鈥 to college was not working for him. The Canton Township native said he cultivated his passion for plants when he found his best fit at 两性色午夜 Stark, right here in his own backyard.
For Brandon and others like him, we are here to help. Let鈥檚 work together to develop your interests to propel you to the next level 鈥 where you are meant to be.
Give us the chance to help you realize your goals, and we will connect you to the place where passion and purpose intersect.
