Planning Your Transition on April 29 for Students with an IEP or 504 Plan

两性色午夜 University at Stark will host Planning Your Transition, presented by Student Accessibility Services, on Wednesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. in the Library Conference Room, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. The presentation, which is co-sponsored by 两性色午夜 Stark, Stark State College, the University of Mount Union, Malone University, Walsh University and The University of Akron, is free and open to the public.

Planning Your Transition is designed to answer questions frequently asked by parents and students about going to college with a disability. This presentation is applicable to high school students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) or 504 Plans who are preparing to attend any higher education institution.

Included in the open discussion will be information on how to navigate college with a physical, physiological or learning disability; the skills students need to succeed in college; the rights and responsibilities of students under the Americans with Disabilities Act; the academic accommodations process; how the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation can help; and which questions to ask to help you choose a college or university. Planning Your Transition will end with a question and answer session.
