In fall 2015, Fairless High School students will be within walking distance to Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University at Stark, shortening the span to their college degrees.
On Thursday, May 28, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Stark Dean Denise Seachrist and Fairless Local Schools Superintendent Broc Bidlack signed a College Credit Plus agreement. The partnership will allow the high school students from the district, located in Navarre, Ohio, to earn university credits toward their college degrees.
When fall semester begins, enrolled Fairless students will leave their high school to attend classes, but they won’t need to go far. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ professors will instruct the students in an adjacent building that will be outfitted with Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University signage.
Bidlack was accompanied at the signing by Fairless High School principal and assistant principal, Dr. Larry Chambliss and Michael Hearn, among other administrators, and several students who will take advantage of this exciting opportunity.
This arrangement marks the first of three signing agreements that Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Stark will facilitate in time for students to enroll in fall semester College Credit Plus courses. New partnerships will soon be formed with Canton City Schools’ Timken High School and Plain Local Schools’ GlenOak High School.
