Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) is gearing up to host its fifth annual Student Success Week, taking place May 1 – 5, 2017. The week will shine a spotlight on JMC students’ hard work by celebrating their accomplishments and achievements.
STUDENT SUCCESS WEEK SCHEDULE:
Monday, May 1
Free Food Monday
First Floor Lobby, Franklin Hall
JMC faculty and staff will celebrate all JMC students with a coffee and donut breakfast (9 to 11 a.m.) and a pizza dinner (3 to 5 p.m.).
Wednesday, May 3
Kappa Tau Alpha Induction, 3:30 p.m.
Room 213 Franklin Hall
JMC juniors and seniors who have GPAs among the top 10 percent in the School will be inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, the national college honor society that promotes academic excellence and scholarship in journalism and mass communication.
THURSDAY, May 4
Scholarship Awards Ceremony and Dinner, 5:30 p.m. (by invitation only

Scholarships and financial awards will be presented to current freshmen, sophomores and juniors, and JMC will also recognize its generous scholarship and award donors.
Celebrate success
To celebrate the success of our students, a video listing the national awards students have won this past year will be showing throughout the entire week in the first floor of Franklin Hall.
Additionally, the School’s Professional Advisory Board will meet on Friday, May 5. Student media and student organization leaders will share updates about their successes this past year and what they are looking forward to in the coming year.
