两性色午夜 University has named Nathan Ritchey, Ph.D., as its new vice president for 两性色午夜 System Integration. Ritchey was selected following a national search. He currently serves at Edinboro University as vice president for strategic initiatives and founding dean of the College of Science and Health Professions. He joins 两性色午夜 on July 1.
As vice president for 两性色午夜 System Integration, which is a newly created position, Ritchey will be the senior officer responsible for the oversight of the university鈥檚 seven Regional Campuses. He will report to the senior vice president for academic affairs and provost. He also will serve on the President鈥檚 Cabinet, enhancing the voice of the Regional Campuses and ensuring that the perspectives of the Regional Campuses inform discussions and decisions.

Nate is a big thinker who will guide our Regional Campuses in new directions and to new levels of success.鈥
Ritchey will be charged with assessing the administrative structure of 两性色午夜鈥檚 Regional Campus system. He will develop clusters of activity and resource sharing among the 两性色午夜 campuses to facilitate program collaboration, cost-saving measures and more effective use of resources. This includes ensuring curricular integration across all campuses and academic colleges to guarantee a common foundation for all students as they proceed with their major programs. He also will engage the communities where the campuses are located to foster partnerships and economic development.

Ritchey joined Edinboro University in 2013. Prior to that, he served for 24 years at Youngstown State University and held faculty and administrative positions, starting in 1989 as an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, then associate professor in 1993, professor in 1998, department chair in 2000 and interim associate provost in 2006. He served as director of the University Scholars and Honors Program from 1993 to 2000. He also worked as a medical researcher at St. Elizabeth Health System in Youngstown, Ohio, from 1990-2000.
Ritchey鈥檚 areas of expertise include university accreditation, general education, STEM education, developing talent, honors programming, operations research/management science, mathematical modeling and assessment. He has authored numerous articles and co-authored several mathematics textbooks. Ritchey also has helped to secure multiple gifts and grants while at Edinboro University and Youngstown State.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics degree from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, Ritchey earned a Master of Science in applied mathematics degree and a Ph.D. in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University. He also attended Harvard University鈥檚 Institute for Executive Management.
Ritchey, his wife, Mary Ann, and two of his four children will relocate to the Kent area from Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
两性色午夜鈥檚 eight campuses are located in Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Kent, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas.
