Hosts of the 2024 两性色午夜 East Liverpool Earth Day Environmental Justice Conference welcomed nearly 50 guests to the annual event, featuring student research and discussions related to the theme: 鈥淭he Impact of World Conflicts and Wars on the Environment.鈥
Dr. Qunxing Ding, associate professor of biology, was the keynote speaker, sharing his findings from research on monitoring water quality of the Ohio River.
Elyssa Kirk earned first place honors for her essay, 鈥淧raying for Gaza.鈥 Second place went to Emily Humphreys for 鈥淲ar in Sudan;鈥 and third place was awarded to Samantha Dickey for 鈥淗ow the Education System Became Disrupted by the Ukrainian-Russian War.鈥
Kaela Skubic earned first place honors in the poster competition for 鈥淪inaloa Cartel and the Environment.鈥 Second place went to Jena Graham for 鈥淲orldwide Food Crisis;鈥 and Meg Harmon earned third place honors with 鈥淚raq鈥檚 Environmental Crisis.鈥
