Workforce Training for Ohio’s STEMM Industries
Our program provides scholarships for students in the new applied STEMM degree concentrations of Industrial Chemistry and Liquid Crystal Engineering, as well as closely related Chemistry and Physics major concentrations.
We are now accepting applications for Choose Ohio First Scholarships for 2020 – 2021. Scholarships will range between $1500 and $7000 annually. Students selected to receive a scholarship are obligated to attend monthly activities each semester and travel to Columbus for the Choose Ohio First Showcase each Spring Semester (date to be announced annually). Renewal is subject to continued eligibility, satisfactory progress towards degree completion, and full participation in Choose Ohio First Scholar activities. Scholars must maintain a 3.0 GPA and remain registered for one of the supported major concentrations.
Review of applications will begin March 16, 2020. Please direct any questions to Dr. Michael Tubergen, mtuberge@kent.edu. If you are interested in a Choose Ohio First Scholarship for the Master’s program in Liquid Crystal Engineering, please contact Dr. Robin Selinger (rselinge@kent.edu).
