The Center for Teaching and Learning's (CTL) primary mission provides support for faculty to learn about, implement, and engage in scholarship on teaching and learning practices that are student-centered, evidence-based, innovative, and inclusive.
College campuses across the nation are facing a serious problem and, unfortunately, the numbers do not lie. The issue of power-based personal violence (sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking) is an issue of significant concern on college campuses, including Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University. Nationally, women have a 1-in-6 statistical probability of being sexually assaulted (1-in-33 for men) and college women are four times as likely to be sexually assaulted as are other women. These statistics are simply unacceptable and we believe we can do better at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University.
The president of Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University is the CEO of an organization of more than 38,000 students, 6,600 faculty and staff, more than 247,000 alumni and an operating budget of $645 million.
The Division of Finance and Administration is responsible for the financial, physical and human operations of the university, along with maintaining a safe and peaceful campus environment.
The Council, serving as the University's advisory body for information technology, shall work in collaboration with the University community to lead the advancement of scholarship through the appropriate integration of technology.
