Gina Livingston-Smith
Biography
Gina Livingston-Smith, CHID, IIDA, EDAC, LEED AP is an adjunct faculty member for the Healthcare Design Program with over two decades of professional experience as a healthcare interior designer and planner. She is one of three instructors for the Environmental Systems and Materials course with a focus on interior design, finishes, and furnishings. Gina is currently a Senior Associate at NBBJ in Columbus where she is recognized for her expertise in delivering human-centered design solutions that support ideal experiences for patient families, health workers, and visitors. Her dedication to evidence-based design and continuous improvement is demonstrated by the pre- and post-occupancy research she conducts with her clients, which have ranged from federally qualified health centers to acclaimed academic medical centers. Her previous work experience includes positions in healthcare design at Boulder Associates and GBBN Architects. Gina received her BFA in Interior Design from Miami University and a Master of Interior Architecture at the University of Oregon.
