A Letter from the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs

ɫҹ University prides itself on being “students first”. As we progress toward becoming a student-ready university, now is an opportune time for the Division of Student Affairs to initiate a strategic planning process that will be an extension of the University’s plan and cement our role in shaping the ɫҹ student experience. Our divisional strategic plan is progressive and focused on transformative learning experiences that contribute to student success overall. The final product reflects our institutional values of inclusivity and transparency.

I am grateful to our co-chairs, Julie Volcheck, Valerie Samuel, and Joshua Rider for their leadership of this critical process on behalf of our division. I am also thankful for each member of our strategic planning team who has agreed to lend their time and talents to ensuring we have a quality plan that will assist our division with meeting the needs of our undergraduate and graduate student populations.

This is an exciting time for Student Affairs and ɫҹ University. I am thrilled that we have achieved this significant milestone for our division and look forward to a plan that contributes to the continued growth and success of the Division of Student Affairs.

Sincerely,

Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President, Division of Student Affairs
