Nursing Program Inducts Newest Alpha Delta Nu Members

Emily Rose Houdon and Noel Armstrong join Gamma Sigma Chapter of nursing honor society

The Associate Degree in Nursing program at 两性色午夜 University at Ashtabula inducted its newest members into the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society Tuesday, April 16, 2019.  Second-year nursing students Emily Rose Hodun and Noel Armstrong represent the fifth class inducted on the Ashtabula Campus into the Gamma Sigma Chapter.

 

The Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society was founded with the intention to promote scholarship and academic excellence in the nursing profession.  Alpha Delta Nu encourages the pursuit of advanced degrees in nursing as well as continuing education as a life-long professional responsibility.

 

In addition to maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and earning a 鈥淏鈥 or better in every nursing class, the students were also responsible for developing a project that would benefit the nursing program in a significant way.  Houdon and Armstrong developed a series of educational sessions for students in the 两性色午夜 Ashtabula nursing program that focused on study tips and groups, time management, seeking assistance, and other skills aimed at creating opportunities for successful results in the program. 

 

鈥淓mily Rose and Noel have demonstrated conduct on campus and in their clinical areas that reflect integrity and professionalism,鈥 said Associate Professor Lora Morris, DNP, MSN, RN, Alpha Delta Nu faculty co-advisor. 鈥淭hey are living out their roles as a nurse with caring and courage.鈥

 

Senior Program Director for Nursing and Allied Health Julie Senita, Ph.D., MSN, RN, Morris and co-advisor Tamra Courey, DNP, RN, presided over the ceremony, and Dean Susan Stocker, Ph.D., made remarks and offered her congratulations.
