An ‘Eggcellent’ Adventure at ɫҹ

Nearly 150 Golden Flashes hopped down the hills of Front Campus for ɫҹ’s first-ever alumni glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, Bunnies and Brews, on Friday, March 31. Alumni and friends enjoyed some festive music as they searched for more than 1,700 glowing eggs with excitement to see if they chose any that contained one of 14 golden tickets that led to an amazing prize.

Lucas Bowen, BA ’05, BSN ’10, MSN ’15, was one of those lucky winners. He won a Shark vacuum and a ɫҹ cooler. “It was totally unexpected, I did not think that I would win one golden ticket let alone two,” he said. Other prizes included ɫҹ cornhole boards, a gas grill, a 65-inch television and several other coveted items.

Mary Ruyten, ’98, attended the event with other Golden Flashes, Terri Heindel and Ed Caruso, ’92. “It sounded like a fun event and there were some really great prizes,” she said.

Alumni collected glow in the dark eggs for the chance to win a prize.

Before the egg hunt, participants enjoyed the event’s signature drink featuring a marshmallow bunny and hors d'oeuvres at Cartwright Hall, which was decked out in neon lights that illuminated the room as the sun went down.

It was a memorable experience for alumni as they had a chance to visit the beautiful Kent Campus and reminisce with other Golden Flashes.
